In a modern classroom, no two students learn in the same way. It is not uncommon to have a classroom with students with varying levels of academic abilities either. In fact, not many students even think alike. There are three different ways that students learn, which are visual learners, kinesthetic learners, or auditory learners. It is important as the teacher in the classroom to understand the different ways that students learn and the different levels at which they learn. After some research, I have found five different learning strategies that I think will help my students be successful in my classroom. In a math or computer science class, vocabulary is key to understanding any topic that I will be teaching. Math and computer science are their own languages. It is important to use dual-coding when introducing new vocabulary, by having a visual representation of the word.
